ATI catalyst 9.11 for OpenSUSE 11.2 support

ATI Catalyst 9.11 Has Initial Support for openSUSE 11.2


Advanced Micro Devices, or AMD, announced on November 17th a new version of its versatile ATI Catalyst proprietary display driver for Linux users, for both x86 and x86_64 architectures. The ATI Catalyst 9.11 suite updates the software to version 8.671 and brings production support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 and initial support for openSUSE 11.2. Among the resolved issues in ATI Catalyst 9.11, we can mention: · For Ubuntu 9.04 users, the animated busy mouse cursor flickering issue, in Clone mode, has been resolved; · Resolved an issue on SUSE 11.1, in which, when the secondary display was unplugged, the main display became corrupted and blank; · Virtual Terminal switch and display hot-plugging issues were resolved; · Fixed an issue when the machine became unstable and unresponsive when it was switched to DC (battery) mode, with CrossFire enabled and with programs running in fullscreen; · Fixed a screen corruption when a flash video was playing in fullscreen mode, on a secondary display; · Fixed a screen corruption when an OpenGL screensaver was running while the desktop effects were active. A few other known issues remain unresolved for this release of the ATI Catalyst suite, including one for Ubuntu 9.04 users!
